Reviews and Ratings
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is superb, just a stone's throw away from the lake and with easy access to the ropeway and ferry terminal. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making our first visit to Japan truly special. Although the room lacked private toilets, the amenities provided were top-notch, with a great selection of skincare products available. However, there were moments of inconvenience during our stay.
The hotel is located in a nice, secluded area, allowing for a truly relaxing stay. The rooms are small but pleasant, equipped with modern amenities. The staff is amazing and goes out of their way to ensure a comfortable experience, and the dining options cater to various preferences. However, the surrounding area can be too dark at night, and the price for half board might limit dining choices.
My stay at the hotel offered a mix of positives and negatives. The room was comfy but really tiny without the Tatami area as I expected, and the Japanese bed was different from what I asked for, making it a bit uncomfortable. On the bright side, the location was good, right next to the beautiful Lake Ashi and Ropeway station. The dining experience was a mix of Japanese and European cuisines, with room for improvement compared to the excellent dinner. The service was friendly and professional, although the request to prepare futon beds at a high room price seemed a bit off.
Staying at this hotel was a mixed experience. The traditional Japanese room with tatami mats and futons was a unique and authentic touch, but the lack of working Wi-Fi was a downside. The service was exceptional, with a special effort made to accommodate dietary requirements. The location offered convenient access to attractions but lacked proper lighting in the evening. The dining experience had a good variety of Japanese and western food, but some dishes fell short. Overall, a pleasant stay with some room for improvement.
The hotel is conveniently located with easy access to transportation and attractions, but may require a taxi or bus from the station. The rooms, although a bit small for luggage, are clean and comfortable, and the service is welcoming and accommodating to special requests. Dining options vary, but there are enjoyable dining experiences available. Overall, a hotel with great potential but some minor drawbacks.
